The Father names His Son!

In 5 a.d., in the town of Bethlehem, our Savior was born to a Hebrew maiden, called Miriam (Mary) and her soon to be husband Joseph. This birth was a result of a Divine miracle. He was the Son of the Most High. He was named by his Father before he was born.
The Father sent His Angel to tell Mary and inform Joseph what the Child's name would be called. After all, did the Father not have the right to name His only begotten Son?

Lu 1:26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from Yahweh unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
Lu 1:27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name [was] Mary.
Lu 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou

hast found favor with Yahweh.
Lu 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

Is this right, call His Name "Jesus"? Why on earth would a Hebrew maiden and her Hebrew Husband to be, with a Hebrew family, living in a Hebrew town, give her Son a Latin Name?

The answer is "of course" they did not Name Him "Jesus", they named Him Yahshua, a Hebrew name as they were instructed to by the Father.
The angel who appeared to her also appeared to Joseph and told him what to name the Father's Son!

Mt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Mt 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

Why, then does the King James Bible use "Jesus"?

First, here are some interesting facts for you. There was no "J" in any language until about the 15th-16th century--the letter "J" simply did not exist. So, that in its self proves He could not have been given the name "Jesus."

So, where did the Name "Jesus" originate? It is derived from the "Latin", which in turn was derived from the Greek word "Iesous".
Well then, was His Name really the Greek "Iesous"?
The Savior Himself said He came in His Fathers Name.
PLEASE go back and read about the name of the Father "Yahweh".

Remember names are transliterated, not translated. Does "Iesous" sound like Yahshua? Does Jesus sound like Yahshua? Of course not!

Where did these names originate?

The name "Iesous" comes on the scene around the end of the first century.

Why?

What follows is the writers own opinion based on a great deal of research and reading about the history of the time.
Many Greeks and others in Asia, begin to follow the way, after the resurrection of the Messiah Yahshua. However, persecution soon appeared on the scene, and after Nero's burning of Rome, the followers of Yahshua, were blamed.
There was already a great deal of strife between the Jewish followers and the Gentiles followers. And because of this persecution, there was a split between the Jews and Gentiles, and finally, the Greeks believed they needed a Greek god, not a Hebrew God.
"Iesous" was not a transliteration, but in fact a "RENAMING"of the Savior.
The name caught on, and later, the name "Jesus" (a Latin) name came on the scene. Many today believe His (the Saviors) name to be Jesus.

His Name has meaning!
YAH IS SALVATION!

The Savior was given a Hebrew name as commanded by the Father through the Angel. That really is simple and easy to comprehend!

Another example is found in the book of Acts. A man called Saul or Shaul, later (Apostle Paul), was blinded on the way to Damascus, and asked Him who He was.

Ac 26:15 And I (Paul) said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Yahshua whom thou persecutest.
Ac 9:15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

So, he who became the Apostle Paul was to carry His Name to the Gentiles, Kings and Israel. What Name do you think the Apostle Paul carried?

Ac 26:14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? [it is] hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

The Apostle heard his question "Who are you?" in the Hebrew tongue. He heard the sound "Yah shu a". Yah is Salvation!

"The Hebrew Aramaic tongue, Yahshua's language when on earth; his language, too, when he spoke from heaven." It was in the Hebrew, that the Savior taught when on earth, and it is a significant circumstance that Paul heard his voice in the same tongue to which Peter, James and John had listened.

Paul was stunned, scared to death at this encounter. Do you honestly think he would have carried a different name to the Gentiles? That is hard to even imagine.

Even if you believe the entire New Testament was written originally in Greek, the name of our Savior, would still remain the same. Ones name simply does not change from culture to culture.

So, what's in a name? Is it important? The Father and the Son seem to think so.

That word "Name" is used a 1,000 times in the KJV.

Here are just a very few instances where the "names" come into use:
Deut 10:20 Thou shalt fear YHWH thy Almighty One; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his (GOD is not a name, but a title).
Josh. 9:9 And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of YHWH thy Creator: for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt,
Ruth 4:14 And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed the Almighty One, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that His name may be famous in Israel.
Psalms 5:11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name, be joyful in thee.
Psalm 8:1 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
Mat. 18:5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
Mat. 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Joh. 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Joh. 14:13-14 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thingin my name, I will do it.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

So, why not change all the names in Scripture, back to their original format?

There are several versions of the Scriptures, that have.
But first and foremost, we should be concerned about the name of the "Father" YHWH and His Son "Yahshua", for is there salvation by any other?

And on and on.......... So, now you the reader, must ask yourself a question. Is it important, does it really matter, does my salvation depend on it...?

Only you and you alone, can answer that question for yourself. We have tried to provide you with the truth and the proof., but it is your call, as to what you do with the information.
